Mr. Shun Hong Liu is the founder and CIO of Hong Investment Advisors Limited (HIA). HIA has been awarded "Best Asia Ex-Japan Investment Advisors" whilst HCM Rapier Fund, the macro fund managed by HIA, has been awarded "Best Discretionary Macro Fund (Since Inception)" by 2016 AI Hedge Fund Awards sponsored by Barclay Hedge.

Before founding HIA, Mr. Liu held the office of CIO at PMA Investment Advisors Limited (PMA), during which he managed another award-winning macro fund. The PMA Harvester Fund was awarded “Best Asia ex-Japan Hedge Fund” by Eurekahedge in 2009. Prior to joining PMA in 2006, Mr. Liu served as a Senior Trader for HSBC for 9 years, trading FX, rates and fixed income products in various markets.

Mr. Liu has been in the financial industry since 1997 and he is a holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). Mr. Liu graduated with First Class Honors in BBA (Finance) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) . He was awarded the Academic Achievement Medal (top 1 percentile graduate) by HKUST.
